i4Trust Announces Second Batch of Data Spaces Experiments

FIWARE Foundation, iSHARE and FundingBox announce the launch of 17 experiments that will address the development of innovative services based on the i4Trust framework. For the second call, 239 SMEs and 48 Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) from 26 countries have applied.

The services implemented by the 17 experiments will become reference models of how Data Spaces help develop a sustainable Data Economy, based on fair and trusted data exchange. Each of the experiments will receive up to €120,000 of equity-free funding to design and execute their use case, as well as full service provision during a 9-month mentoring program.

The 17 European experiments, from twelve countries, were selected under i4Trust's second open call, launched in May 2022. Consisting of an IHL and at least three SMEs, the selected consortia will be fully supported by i4Trust's key partners, who will guide them in implementing, testing, piloting and scaling up their services.

The experiments, covering real use cases in the agri-food, buildings, cities, energy, environment, logistics, manufacturing, mobility, ports and tourism sectors, will demonstrate how existing processes can be improved and new innovative services created through the secure and efficient exchange of data between smart applications.
