Valencia is focused on becoming a sustainable city

Valencia is striving to become a smart and sustainable city, as demonstrated by its launching of the "Future Proofed Cities" project, a platform developed in Belgium under the same name. This platform registers emission metrics and shares information with the more than 50 other cities that already use the platform.

The City Council of Valencia, in favor of pursuing the emission reduction plan, has decided to be the first city in Spain to invest in this technology. In addition to collecting data from the city, it will visualize the real panorama and the steps to follow to achieve the energy transition.

Other local institutions or services that are in some way involved in the process, have also been able to learn first-hand about the characteristics of this project. As a result, this project has become a joint effort, since citizens can also contribute and be aware of the information collected by the platform.
